Fun South Florida Trip
I really enjoyed visiting South Florida with Miami, Key West and The everglades this trip. Miami was brief just a day or two. I wanted to be in South Beach for New Years but became sick and had to stay in. I did take a swim in the ocean at North Miami Beach. From there it was down to Key West. I spent a week there at the Hotel Civic (see Car Camping). Right on the main drag. The weather was perfect. Sunny and warm. Old town was a great treat with a rented bicycle. The party is ever present. My favorite bars were Captain Tony's and the Green Parrot. I found a community pool for a free swim and shower. True beach bum life. Heading North, The Everglades National park was a great stop. Alligators, mangroves and beautiful scenery.

Get Out The Vote Rally
Kissimmee, Florida
A chance opportunity presented itself on a recent visit with family in Florida. Barrack Obama and Bill Clinton spoke at a  "get out to vote" rally attended by myself and several thousands of supporters. I manage to get about 100 feet for the stage. I'm happy to have been part of the event. Congratulations to Barrack Obama as the 44th president of the United States.
